Choosing and picking up your first book is a very important deal. A good book will permanently change your perspective towards books and reading. Well, a bad book might bury your thoughts of picking up a book or even reading any book in future. How to choose a book for your new interest in reading?
The best place to start your search is Amazon charts and Goodreads site. These sites have a large database of book lists and reviews by various book readers. One can able to find and choose books from various genres and authors.
If you are the person who likes to touch and feel the books? Bookstores and libraries are very good places. Bookstores provide you with all the trending and popular books showcased beautifully while libraries basically have a huge collection of books from numerous genres arranged in a minimalist way. Some bookstores provide a reading area while few even have an inbuilt cafe and many even don't have basic facilities, so plan accordingly before travelling there.
The Alchemist was my first book and later followed by The Naturalist. The first changed my perspective towards life and the latter pulled me into the world of books.

Having a kindle device is a blessing. I mostly read on kindle while travelling or before falling into sleep in a dark bedroom. Kindle can store more than 2000 books and have a battery that lasts for weeks. Even though I love physical books and the smell of new books, kindle rescued me in numerous situations.
What Next?
Enjoying your books and reading? If the answer is "not really" then you dived into a reading slump.
